RemoteReporting now features custom-drawn map features with active mouseover data. This means you can add a feature to your map and use the mouse to retrieve real-time data about that feature.

In the first example, we have uploaded icons created in Flash to represent oil platforms.  The text label was added to the map and attached to the oil platform icon.  Advanced Mapping supports .swf or .jpg icons and a variety of free-drawing tools.  The custom features become part of the map data.  Information about the custom features can be fed to the map server via email or web-based forms and become part of the map.  To experience a custom-drawn feature, place your mouse pointer over the oil-platform icons on the map below.

In the second sample a map has been drawn on using the free-drawing features of this technology. These maps can be viewed on RemoteReporting.com or placed as-is on a remote website after authorization by RemoteReporting.

The last example shows a fishing vessel and the geographic area where fishing is allowed. Fishing fleet managers can use this type of mapping to ensure or demonstrate compliance with government regulations, or for planning. The map shows a simple box only but in reality the area can be any shape and mapped to precise geographic coordinates.
